// What Fopull does

Whatever you need built, we build the whole thing.

We take the work where somebody has to own it: the schema, the API, the deploy, the pager at 3am. Web apps, mobile, backends and integrations, real-time and game systems, self-hosted infrastructure.

// Proof of work

Real things we built, shipped, and run in production.

A game engine written from scratch, a real-time multiplayer card game, an open-source systems tool, and a community platform with payments and identity underneath.

Open source · Rust · Game engine

Floptle, a game engine for worlds you can carve.

Rust-native engine + editor · volumetric SDF terrain · Lua · MIT OR Apache-2.0

Terrain is a volumetric signed-distance field rather than a heightmap, so whole planets are diggable at runtime and the shadows and ambient occlusion come off the geometry itself. The editor, Lua scripting, a node-graph shader editor, a particle timeline, physics and spatial audio are one native binary for Windows, macOS and Linux, installed by the Floptle Hub.

For clients: a from-scratch Rust engine with its own renderer and scripting runtime. It is the deepest systems work here, and it is open source, so you can read every line before you hire us.

Live · Real-time multiplayer TCG

Foduel, an online trading card game built from the engine up.

Laravel · Reverb websockets · separate .NET rules engine · PostgreSQL

A browser trading card game we designed, illustrated and engineered end to end: real-time duels over websockets, a deckbuilder, card packs, an in-game economy, ranked Elo, bot opponents and a story-mode tutorial. The rules run on a separate .NET engine, so a duel is fast and fair on every device.

For clients: real-time, server-authoritative multiplayer, built and run in-house.

Open source · Rust · Linux

Storage Sifter, see exactly what's eating your disk.

Rust · egui/eframe · wgpu/Vulkan · MIT licensed

A GPU-accelerated disk-usage treemap for Linux, in the spirit of SpaceSniffer and WinDirStat. Your filesystem is drawn as nested rectangles sized to what they eat, so the space hogs are obvious; click one for a plain-English “safe to delete?” verdict and the right cleanup command for your distro. Rust on wgpu/Vulkan, MIT licensed.

For clients: we write systems software as well as web apps, and we open-source it, so you can read the code before you trust us with yours.

Live · Blogging + community platform

Foverse, where people write, post, and connect.

OAuth2/PKCE · multi-tenant identity · Stripe payments · self-hosted

Foverse is a blogging and community platform: members and the founder write blogs and posts, keep profiles, and interact with each other. That people-to-people content is the heart of it. It also connects to our free browser games (Foduel and Connect Fo) and includes a trading-card marketplace, packs, and a wallet, all behind one account.

For clients: this is our reference build for identity-backed, multi-tenant platforms with real payments and real-time underneath, the same architecture we deliver for you.

// Services

Those are ours. We build the same caliber for clients.

Web, mobile, backend, real-time, infrastructure. We own it end to end: the schema, the deploy, the on-call. If that is the work, that is the work we want.

Custom Web Applications

Laravel, a modern frontend, real auth. Production systems.

Backend & APIs

OAuth, PKCE, server-authoritative APIs, integrations that don't go down at 3am.

HIPAA-Adjacent Systems

Audit-logged, encrypted, hardened. Built like the data matters, because it does.

Game & Real-Time Systems

Unity clients, online sync, persistent state. The whole loop.

Self-Hosted Infrastructure

Bring your stack onto your own metal. Set it up, harden it, hand you the keys.

About the founder

Ty Johnston

Founder & Lead Engineer, Fopull LLC

I founded Fopull LLC to do the kind of software work I actually want to do: thoughtful, honest, end-to-end. I write everything from the database up: Laravel, Unity, Rust, infrastructure, the boring middle. Outside of client work I build Foverse, ship open-source tools like Storage Sifter, make music, and put videos on YouTube.

What we're good at

.

  • Full-stack web development (Laravel, PHP, JS, Tailwind)
  • Game and real-time systems (Unity, C#, server-authoritative MMO architecture)
  • API design, OAuth/PKCE, server-side auth flows
  • Self-hosted infrastructure, so you own the stack and the data
Get in touch

Got a project? Tell us what you're building.

You'll talk to Ty, the engineer who builds it, and get a real reply, usually within one business day. We start with a small paid discovery, then a written scope and budget you sign off on. No long-term contract to start. If we are not the right shop for it, we will say so.
